Senior Platform Engineer

STRAND is real-time architecture mapping for engineering teams running service-heavy systems. The product maps every dependency, tracks every change, and surfaces blast radius before anything ships. The internal platform that the engineering team builds on needs to be as reliable and well-designed as the product itself. This role owns that platform.

You will build the tooling, abstractions, and standards that let STRAND's engineering team move fast without breaking things. Developer productivity, deployment pipelines, internal services, and the systems that connect them — this role touches all of it.

What you will work on

• Design and maintain the internal developer platform that engineering teams build on top of.
• Own CI/CD infrastructure and deployment pipelines for STRAND's production systems.
• Build internal tooling and abstractions that reduce friction in the development workflow.
• Define and enforce platform standards around security, observability, and reliability.
• Work closely with infrastructure and backend teams to ensure platform capabilities match product needs.
• Reduce toil through automation and establish clear runbooks for platform operations.

What we are looking for

• 5 or more years in platform or infrastructure engineering with a track record of improving developer productivity at meaningful scale.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, and cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP.
• Strong understanding of internal developer platform design, including golden path patterns and self-service tooling.
• You write code. Go or Python preferred. Building abstractions on top of Kubernetes APIs is a plus.
• You measure platform health with data and make decisions based on what developers actually need, not what is technically elegant.
• Strong opinions about developer experience and the patience to implement change incrementally.
